Purpose and scope

1.1 This Standard establishes preferred dimensions for flanged steel blower pipe to facilitate interchange of equipment made by different manufacturers.

1.2 Pipe flanges for both bolted and clamped connections are included in this Standard. Configuration and construction of pipe, elbows, discharge deflectors and specialty pipe sections, other than inside pipe dimensions and connecting flange dimensions, are left to the discretion of the individual manufacturer.
