This procedure is designed to measure permanent and/or transient optical transmittance changes and requires the assessment of any damage occurring to other cable components.
Failure Modes- Potential failure modes for this test include, but are not limited to:
a. Loss of optical continuity, either during or at the end of the test,
b.Degradation transmittance performance,
c. Fiber breakage or other physical damage,
a. Other failure modes as may be stated in the Detail Specification.
