Scope of this Document

This document describes the scope of the Forward Link Only Test Application Protocol. It also outlines the technical requirements that form a compatibility standard for test applications in Forward Link Only systems. The scope and requirements specified ensure that a compliant Forward Link Only device and a compliant Forward Link Only network can interoperate to execute tests in meeting the objectives stated in 1.2.

The details of the tests are beyond the scope of this document.

Procedures are specified for the Forward Link Only devices to ensure a uniform processing of test messages from all Forward Link Only networks.
