Scope of This Document
This standard details definitions, methods of measurements and minimum performance characteristics for Forward Link Only repeaters. This standard shares the purpose of 0 by ensuring that a Forward Link Only repeater can provide service in any system that meets the compatibility requirements of 0.
Compatibility, as used in the connection with this standard and 0, is understood to mean that any Forward Link Only repeater is able to receive and transmit waveforms containing multicast service information that can be received by any Forward Link Only device. Test methods are recommended in this document; however, methods other than those recommended may suffice for the same purpose.
