This Specification was prepared by Technical Specification Group C of the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2). This Specification contains the physical layer of the IMT-2000 CDMA Multi-Carrier Mode, IMT-2000 CDMA MC, also known as cdma2000^®1 . It provides a specification for land mobile wireless systems based upon cellular principles. This Specification includes the capabilities of Telecommunications Industry Association Standard TIA/EIA-95-B.

This Specification provides the physical layer of the IMT-2000 CDMA MC air interface; however, other specifications are required to complete the air interface and the rest of the system. These specifications are listed in the References section.
