This standard provides the specification for the interface that coincides with the Refe rence Point "A_quater" defined in the 3GPP2 Wireless Network Reference Model shown in [I-1]. The scope of this standard includes the following topics:

• Descriptions of the specified functional capabilit ies that provide packet data services across the PCF-PDSN interface;
• Descriptions of the division of responsibility of the functions provided between the PCF and the PDSN without prescribing specific implementations.

Purpose
