OVERVIEW FOR TIA-920-A STANDARDS

The TIA-920-A sub-documents are the result of the revision process for the TIA-920 document. Due to the size of the TIA-920 document it was deemed necessary to separate the revised standard into smaller sections to allow for greater attention to detail. The TIA-920-A document is formed as a series of sub-documents. TIA-920 will be rescinded when the existing requirements in TIA-920 have been published as TIA-920-A sub-documents.

The TIA-920-A structure is provided in the "Document Structure for TIA-920-A" clause of this document. The TIA-920 document format underwent significant changes. The new structure provides improved document flexibility, allowing revisions of each particular Section to be handled in a more efficient process. This enables additional requirements to be developed and placed into the new document structure without having the entire document revised.
