Introduction

This Part presents an overview of Telecommunications Systems Bulletin 87 (TSB-87) which provides a set of CDPD Implementor Guidelines. This TSB complements the CDPD System Specification contained in Interim Standard 732 (IS- 732). and contains implementation-specific information.

In general, these implementor guidelines include information which is independent of the three primary CDPD interfaces (A, E and I) and ideas which are less mature than would normally be expected of a system specification. Those ideas and information may, if they bear on the interfaces and functions of the specification, be considered for addition to the CDPD System Specification, IS-732, itself.
