This standard provides required performance values, recommended practices and methods of measurement for radio equipment used in the Land Mobile Services that employ linear analog modulation techniques, for the transmission and reception of voice or data on channel spacings of 5 kHz to 7.5 kHz and having an operating frequency of 1 GHz or less. For the purpose of this standard, these modulation techniques include, but are not limited to, tone above band single sideband (TAB), transparent tone in band single sideband (TTIB), and real zero single sideband (RZTM SSB).
