HCM 2000 (U. S. customary units) is a completely revised, updated, and expanded edition that reflects the results of a multiyear, multimillion-dollar research effort by NCHRP, FHWA, TCRP, and TRB. TRB's Committee on Highway Capacity and Quality of Service oversaw development of the manual. The content and format of HCM 2000 incorporate major changes and improvements in analysis methodologies.
