These requirements cover cabinets intended to be used to provide a storage area for limited quantities o f flammable and combustible liquids in containers in
compliance with the Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30. Construction and performance requirements for the cabinets are primarily based on the
Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, NFPA 30.
A storage cabinet may have a maximum total storage capacity of not more than 120 gallons (454 L) of flammable and combustible liquids. The maximum capacity
rating is assigned by the manufacturer.
A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or different from those in use when the Standard was developed, and that
involves a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, shall be evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-product requirements as determined
necessary to mai ntain the level of safety for the user of the product as originally anticipated by the intent of this Standard.
