These requirements cover indicator posts, including wall and underground types, for use in operating valves of the inside-screw pattern and for indicating the position
of the gates in such valves. Indicator posts are primarily intended for use with valves controlling water supplies to sprinkler, deluge, water spray, foam and standpipe
systems used in private fire service where connections enter buildings.

Association:
