This method is for determining mercury in alumina or silica-alumina supported catalysts by Graphite Furnace-Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (GF-AAS). The detection range is from one to several hundred mass-ppm. The method is applicable where Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy cannot be used due to interference from aluminum and platinum group metals.
