Revised Bulletin 191, August 1987. (This revision is a part of the WRC book, "Weldability of Steels-Fourth Edition")
The tables of "Steel Compositions with Suggested Practices Generally Required for Sound Welding" included in the book "Weldability of Steels" have been revised and updated to include new and revised specifications for steels. These specifications have been issued by ASTM, AISI, SAE, ABS, and API. Some specifications have been discontinued but some of the steels have been retained in the tables for reference purposes. Steels listed by the five specification agencies above include all of those adopted through March 1, 1985 which may be fabricated by welding.
