Sets out dimensions and mechanical properties of quenched and tempered general grade high-strength steel bolts intended mainly for use in steel structures. It also applies to associated steel nuts and heat-treated steel washers for use with the high-strength steel bolts. Provision is also made for bolts, nuts and washers with corrosion preventive finishes such as hot-dip galvanized and cadmium or zinc electroplated coatings.
