This specification applies to steam turbine driven alternators, and to alternators not steam turbine driven, if of similar high speed construction, having windings insulated with Class A and Class B materials, as defined in Appendix I. It does not apply to D.C generators, with the exception of an exciter forming part of the turbo-alternator set.
