ASARCOLO 158-190 and 217-440 are non-eutectic alloys that can be melted easily. Each range indicates the range through which the alloy melts; thus ASARCOLO 158-190 is a non-eutectic alloy that has a melting range from 158 F to 190 F and ASARCOLO 217-440 is another non-eutectic alloy that melts in the range 217 F to 440 F. These alloys are used widely to aid foundry and machine shop practices, for anchoring components, to spot fixtures for awkward shapes, and for soldering.
