Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

Bismuth-26.7Pb-13.3Sn-10Cd is a bismuth-base, eutectic alloy that is melted and cast easily and is ready for use as soon as it freezes. It has a melting point of 158 F (70 C). It can be recovered easily and recycled into new uses any number of times. Its low melting temperature and controlled-shrinkage characteristics make it of great use in industry for such applications as sprinkler and fire safety devices, support for bending pipe and tubing, anchoring aircraft parts for machining, and seals for annealing and nitriding furnaces.
