BERYLCO Alloy 41C is a highly castable, air-melting nickel-base alloy; it is precipitation-hardenable to high strength and hardness. It exhibits excellent resistance to wear, corrosion and oxidation. Alloy 41C (formerly called Berylco CR-1, Alloy Digest, September 1956, Ni-27) is the standard beryllium-nickel casting alloy that has been in use for over 40 years. Its many uses include tooling for plastics, glass-mold tooling, fuel-pump impellers, cores for Teflon molding and deep sour-well drilling components.
