JESSOP JS800/800H is an austenitic stainless steel with good resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures; 800 and 800H are identical in composition except that 800H contains a higher specified level of carbon than 800. This steel also shows fair resistance to stress-corrosion cracking. It has good strength and impact properties over a wide range of temperatures. JS800H also exhibits very good creep strength up to at least 1500 F. Uses include the chemical process industry and equipment of heat treating.
