RA2205 is an austenitic/ferritic duplex stainless steel containing about 40 to 50% ferrite in the annealed condition. The alloy provides superior service when compared to Type 316L or 317L in most environments, especially considering pitting, chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking resistance, and strength comparisons.
