BioDur 734 is a nitrogen-strengthened, austenitic stainless steel. The alloy exhibits improved tensile strength, impact strength, fatigue strength, and crevice and pitting corrosion resistance over standard Type 316L. The microstructural integrity and cleanness of this alloy are ensured through electroslag remelting (ESR). The alloy is nonmagnetic and is essentially free of ferrite.
