BETHLEHEM M-2 is a molybdenum-tungsten type of high-speed steel. In general, it can be used for the same applications as the 18 tungsten-4 chromium-1 vanadium (AISI Type T1) high-speed steel. Its higher carbon content (relative to Type T1) and balanced composition produce properties applicable to all general-purpose high-speed uses.
