The purpose of this document is to provide guidelines for the implementation of additional toll-free numbers. This may require many network modifications, including the upgrade of hardware and software in the telecommunications service providers and customers networks, and the SMS/800 System. The SMS/800 Management Team (SMT) administers the national database for toll-free numbers. This document outlines minimum test scenarios to ensure all telecommunications SPs and SCs are capable of accessing the new Toll Free NPA on the implementation date. Permanent Toll Free Test Numbers are listed in ATIS Document Number ATIS-0300035.
