This paper summarizes infrastructure issues found at over 30 US Air Force bases in a survey that had the primary focus of evaluating compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Overseas Environmental Baseline Document, US Department of Defense Final Governing Standards for each host nation and applicable state, host country regulations and US Air Force instructions. In addition to water quality compliance, infrastructure conditions and operation and maintenance (O&M) practices were also reviewed. Necessary infrastructure improvements through military construction, environmental compliance, and O&M programs were identified.
