During the construction of an Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) test well, there are
many regulatory requirements and technical questions that need to be addressed. These
considerations form the basis of a construction and testing plan to determine ASR
feasibility. The overall project cost is greatly impacted by the construction and testing
plan.
This paper focuses on construction and testing cost considerations when designing an
ASR test well. Construction and testing cost relationships are unveiled to help develop a
cost effective drilling program which answers the technical and regulatory issues. Includes 6 references, figures.
