This slide presentation outlines information on the Energy Services Program (ESP), an energy efficiency program tailored for New York Power Authority (NYPA) public customers that has financed over 1,200 energy saving projects since 1990. The ESP program includes these components: projects identified by NYPA/customer/third party; determine efficiency potential, feasibility study; NYPA offers loan through ESP; customer accepts project w/multiple repayment options. Examples of NYPA finance construction include: customer repays in equal installments over construction period; customer repays all at end of construction period; or, customer repays as part of electric bill over predefined term. ESP loan terms offer low interest and 12.5% administration fee. Topics covered include: approach to project implementation; project approach; and, general concept. Two case studies are outlined: the first is a feasibility study of the evaluation of surface aerators; the second is a feasibility study of the evaluation of fine bubble.
