This slide presentation outlines information on impact fees. It begins with defining impact fees and describing their purpose. Three different approaches are outlined along with intergenerational equity and conservation price signals. A Colorado test case for impact fees is outlined, including the following points:
hypothetical solution to a new
development's request for a different look
at assessing impact fees;
large-scale development;
water saving in-home devices; low water
use landscapes; and,
in proximity to proposed non-potable City
system. Topics outlined include: methodology used to calculate city
impact fees: combined approach; assessing impact fees; per gallon basis approach to assessing impact fees; theory of best application of
