This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Ontario Water Works Research
Consortium (OWWRC) and its mission of
linking member utilities to government and
university researchers to
facilitate the completion of research that is of
value to member communities. The presentation highlights a Taste and Odor (T&O) research project done by the OWWRC's to
understand the cause of T&O and its distribution
in Lake Ontario.
The OWWRC assists members with:
control options;
warnings of future events;
management of events; and,
communication to their customers. Research funding, specific project objectives, and key research findings are all provided, along with the 2007 research plan, utility benefits, communication highlights, and future projects.
