This powerpoint presentation presents a database that will provide utilities and all
interested parties a resource for efficiently
addressing their need for information that
could help them improve the energy
efficiency, reliability and costs of their water
and wastewater facilities. Developing the database,
website development, and
tentative findings from the database are presented. Presentation conclusions indicate that: the majority of the research work in desalination is
focusing on membranes;
it is very difficult to identify the correct time line for
alerting the industry on research issues; and,
additional work is needed on populating the
database to be a truly "international" search. Includes tables, figures.
