This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting a brief overview of the LT2ESWTR as a regulatory driver: concerned with uncovered
finished water reservoir provisions;
separate from "Toolbox";
"Inactivation and/or Removal"; and,
enabling technology - UV. Process options are presented, along with
physical setting,
system hydraulics,
water quality,
equipment pre-selection, and
facility design. Presentation conclusions indicate the following:
UV/Cl2/NH2Cl system received conditional
approval;
health official(s) input at
technology/approach screening, validation
workshop, 30%, 60%, and 90% design;
system sized for future flow and water
quality challenges;
successful pre-selection;
project going to bid in late-2008; and,
construction and start-up in 2009. Includes tables, figures.
