This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting a brief overview of radiation sources and pathways, along with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) Radionuclides Rule. The objectives of the USEPA's Radiation Survey are presented and include the following: evaluate radiation levels in treatment plants; assess levels of radionuclides in treatment residuals; better understand radiation risks to workers; and, provide input to occupational radiation protection guidance for treatment plant workers. Site selection criteria is given, along with results of the radiation survey, and of dose modeling and dose assessment. Includes tables.
