This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting financial drivers in network infrastructure that include the following:
desire to do more with less money;
innovation in network inspection and transport tools;
condition assessment based network management;
better data management to set funding priorities; more automation to solve the shortfall in humans;
sharing space and networks for multiple functions; and,
innovation in network means and methods. Presentation conclusions indicate that:
we need to look outside the box on how we
could improve the delivery to our clients;
the oil and gas industry has been taking
technologies from the medical diagnostics
industry to build their own pipe network
inspection tools;
