This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by sector, and the importance of carbon in the issue of total facility efficiency. Four types of GHG regulation that impact
infrastructure facilities are presented, including: GHG mandatory reporting - no limits, just report total GHGs; cap and trade - limits and progressive reduction goals; shadow price of carbon - a "carbon tax" per ton of GHG emitted; and, total system efficiency requirements - water & energy efficiency, reduction. The presentation provides a brief analysis of California AB32 (GHG legislation). Includes tables, figures.
