This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Central Arizona Project (CAP) and the eight pumping plants that were too remote
to economically connect to a
public water system. Project objective was to install a small package treatment
system in each of the eight pumping plants to treat raw
Colorado River (canal) water to potable standards, and
connect to each plant's existing domestic water system. System demands and water quality characteristics are presented, along with treatment and operational objectives, technology selection, disinfection byproduct (DBP) formation control, package ultrafiltration (UF) systems, and a comparison of UF membrane package systems are all presented. Includes tables, figures.
