This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Water Sector Workforce Sustainability
Initiative Workshop and its overall recommendations: enhance the water sector job image with an outreach
campaign; improve water sector career pathways definition; and, establish a water workforce resource clearinghouse. The Effective Utility Management (EUM)
Initiative is presented, along with products developed for utility managers by
utility managers and the EUM collaborating
organizations:
10 attributes of effectively managed utilities;
the EUM Primer for Water and Wastewater Utilities;
the EUM Resource Toolbox;
CEWD, an on-line interactive version of the EUM Primer; and,
utility case studies on implementing the 10
attributes.
