This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the new administration's priorities including: maintaining infrastructure;
safeguarding public health;
mitigating climate change; and,
ensuring water security. The presentation then presents areas of action of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA) Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water (OGWDW) related to each of these priorities. Under maintaining infrastructure, the USEPA OGWDW is focusing on: Infrastructure Needs;
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA); and,
Sustainable Infrastructure. Under Public Health the focus is on:
Emerging Contaminants;
Rule Implementation; and,
Source Water Protection. Under Climate Change the focus is on:
Geologic Sequestration Rule; and,
Ongoing Activities. Under Water Security the focus is on 35 projects underway to support the sector, and work on ongoing opportunities to address the gap in analytical methods,
identify priorities, and provide information on the
containment or disposal of contaminated water.
