This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of raising awareness among elected officials of the need for financial planning for the country's aging water infrastructure. Components of an approach to educating elected officials include: prepare a story; financial component; operational component; and, communicating the story. Stillwater, Oklahoma, is presented as an example where the cost of service (COS) study project goals were to: determine the Cost of Service; Equitable Revenue Recovery; and, Financial Integrity of the Utility.
