This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of United Water New York (UWNY). The water supply need is outlined, along with the 2006 rate case and the project driver of a Public Service
Commission Order. An overview of the Haverstraw Water Supply Project is presented, along with a sampling program to characterize Hudson River source water
quality prior to siting and constructing a water
treatment facility. A pilot study was done by the town of Haverstraw to collect data and optimize various treatment processes in order to
determine cost effective, environmentally sustainable, and
energy efficient processes. Energy reduction measures and project benefits are presented. Includes tables, figures.
