Inspection of Above-ground, Atmospheric Pressure, Vented, Bolted "CHIME" Tanks designed and used for Petroleum and Non-Petroleum storage PDF

The purpose of this document is to aid and to assist Approved Inspectors (see definitions) of aboveground storage tanks, to enable them to understand some of the important differences involved with the inspection and repair of bolted tanks, especially bolted CHIME tanks that were originally fabricated and erected in accordance with API Specification 12B. These said tanks are to be maintained, and eventually inspected using an Approved Inspector meeting the requirements of API 653 or API 12R1.
