This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW), with special focus on the Tennyson Pump Station and the issue of inconsistency with pumping 100 MGD. Hydraulic transient analysis was performed, and an attempt was made to bring all 6 pumps online under the following two scenarios: Scenario 1 - start EH pumps under normal conditions and bring CS pumps online by manually isolating all the prime to the pump and bleed air from casing, keeping cone check closed until adequate pressure is developed and then open valve; and, Scenario 2 - have EH pumps running and bring CS pumps on during "normal" operation (i.e., normal priming condition and no air relief from casing) except cone check valve held closed until adequate pressure reached.
