This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of new survey and inspection techniques for retrofitting of potable water (PW) to recycled water (RW), including: site survey; system identification; backflow prevention upgrades; shut down testing; and, RW service installation. Presentation conclusions include: know the site risks; clearly mark out piping systems; work with your local health departments to develop procedures you are both comfortable with using; make shut down testing part of your normal cross-connection procedures; verify all work; take responsibility; and, review your response procedures.
