This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) in northern California, and CCWD untreated water operations and treated water operations. The Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit, a NPDES permit, is presented, along with the Municipal Regional Permit (MRP) which is an effort by
RWQCB to consolidate the six MS4 permits into one single regional
permit to provide "consistency, accountability, and
flexibility". Potable water discharges are
allowed through conditional exemptions under these
permits.
In effect, the conditional exemptions regulate potable
water system discharge. Municipal Regional Permit (MRP) are presented, along with conditional exemption objectives. Includes 4 references.
