Reported in this paper are the results of the bench scale testing conducted at the University at Buffalo. The objectives of this phase of the study were to: compare the performance of several PACs in adsorption isotherm tests and batch kinetic studies; compare MIB absorption in single solute systems (deionized water) and in an environmental matrix (Niagara River water); and investigate factors affecting adsorption kinetics using the Homogeneous Surface Diffusion Model (HSDM).
