Housed at the National Drinking Water Clearinghouse at West Virginia University, the information-sharing services known as RESULTS can likely benefit small water systems. RESULTS stands for the Registry of Equipment Suppliers of Treatment Technologies for Small Systems, and it stems from the USEPA's Small Systems Technology Initiative. Without information, it becomes difficult for small systems and state regulators to identify technologies that are affordable and that meet treatment requirements. RESULTS currently contains information on about 120 treatment sites, located in some of the US states and Canadian provinces.
