This paper describes a project entitled, "The Delicate Balance in Water Supply
Decisions," that was developed by the Connecticut Section American Water Works
Association to serve four purposes: to develop an awareness of regulatory
procedures in high school students, foster a working relationship between all
involved entities, utilize long distance learning technology to link schools
and therefore facilitate interagency cooperation, and to expose students to the
many career opportunities that exist in both the industry and the government sector.
