This paper summarizes some of the experiences, methods and implementations for report generation and O&M for the small utility having SCADA on a single computer. There is typically a big gap in expectations and reality on what is delivered to the small utility. This paper briefly defines some of the basic definitions and features of both report generation and O&M. The paper looks more heavily at report generation, but some of the simple aspects of O&M are covered. A list of features and their relative ease to implement on specific aspects of report generation and O&M is covered. A check list is also given to assess the overall capability of a specific approach. In summary, a set of reasonable expectations should be considered when implementing report generation and/or O&M for the small single computer SCADA system.
