This powerpoint presentation presents an Inventory Management Project at the Cleveland Division of Water (CWD). The
key objectives of the project were to: increase focus on improving
CWD's overall accountability; identify targeted operational improvement
opportunities; evaluate existing business processes; and,
develop and implement strategic CWD inventory
management policies and procedures.
The CWD is upgrading its current
Ellipse Work Management System to Ellipse
version 6. The effort will consist of upgrading
the current modules to the new version,
purchasing additional required modules,
purchasing the new Ellipse reporting tool,
conversion of reports, and related professional
and training services. CWD recommendations are presented, along with mobile computing, managing
inventories and cycle
counts, improving inventory record accuracy, and common inventory problems.
