This powerpoint presentation begins by providing project objectives of identifying on-line monitoring technologies that will: provide operational tools to help fine-tune the
distribution system water quality;
improve vigilance and security of water systems
against attacks; and,
allow Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to gather and provide information to
further engage the public health sector to help
assess and improve drinking water quality. An assessment overview is presented that includes: needs vs feasibility of technology;
achievement of multiple benefits;
Conceptual Design Methodology (equipment/sites/phases); and,
technology trends and timing. The presentation goes on to cover site deployment/selection rationale and considerations, along with a
review of recommended equipment selection, a
discussion of use in other systems, a
review of recommended phasing strategy, supervisory control and data acquisition
(SCADA) integration, data management and reporting, and
