This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting the type and location of storage facilities. The movement of water in distribution systems is presented, along with summaries of three case studies. Presentation conclusions indicate the following: design considerations for maintaining water quality
in storage facilities;
mixing - retrofit and new facilities;
location and type;
least cost alternative for new construction;
pump station operations can impact water age; and,
evaluate conditions with extended period
